Expanding scope of operations to capture more individual cashew farmers

To expand the scope of operations and capture more individual cashew farmers, the following strategies has been implemented:
Market research: Conduct market research to identify the areas with high concentrations of cashew farmers and understand their needs and preferences.
Partnerships: Collaborate with local organizations, NGOs, and government agencies to establish partnerships with cashew farmers. These partnerships can help in providing training, technical assistance, and access to markets.
Capacity building: Provide training to farmers on good agricultural practices, post-harvest handling, and marketing techniques. This will help in improving the quality of cashews and fetching better prices for farmers.
Financial services: Offer financial services such as loans, insurance, and savings schemes to farmers. This will help in managing risks, investing in their farms, and improving their financial stability.
Technology adoption: Encourage farmers to adopt modern technologies such as drip irrigation, mechanized harvesting, and drying techniques. This will help in increasing productivity and reducing costs.
Market linkages: Establish direct market linkages with processors, exporters, and retailers to ensure that farmers receive fair prices for their cashews. This will also help in reducing intermediaries and improving the profitability of farmers.
Community engagement: Engage with local communities through awareness programs, workshops, and seminars on cashew farming, processing, and marketing. This will help in building a strong community of cashew farmers who can support each other and share best practices.
